Capital Projects
The Capital Improvement Program (CIP) is a five (5) year program updated annually to identify and prioritize improvements to the Regional System. The goal of the CIP is to
ensure a reliable, quality supply of water exceeding regulatory requirements is available to all customers. The MVWA’s Capital Projects Committee, in conjunction with the
Capital Projects Engineer, develops a specific list of projects for the first two (2) years of the adopted CIP for financing and construction. Projects range from several
thousand to several million dollars and since its inception in 1996, over $75m of water rates has been reinvested in new and renovated tanks, mains, pump stations and related
facilities. The MVWA currently has an additional $16m in Projects at various stages of development.
