Some Facts About Water Use and Your Water Bill

  • Leaks are one of the main reasons for water waste. A dripping faucet or a leaking toilet can result in a substantial increase in your water bill. Get them repaired as soon as possible.
  • You can reduce the time it takes to post your water bill payment to your account by enclosing your payment stub with your payment.
  • The MVWA is not responsible for the mail, so be sure to send in your payment 4 – 5 business days before the due date, in order to avoid additional charges.
  • Some automatic payment services provided by your banking institutions are mailed to us by check. Your payment is posted the day we receive that check.
