Sealed Bids for construction of 2019 FEMA Storm Damage Repair, addressed to Jolie Murray, will be received at the office of the Upper Mohawk Valley Regional Water Board, doing business as, Mohawk Valley Water Authority (MVWA) 1 Kennedy Plaza, Utica, New York, no later than 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday September 26th, 2023. Any Bids received after the specified time will not be considered.

Bids will then be publicly opened and read.

The Project contemplated consists of storm damage repair to water mains across several creek and stream crossings. Repair includes restoration of creek beds to be pre storm levels, providing adequate cover over all water mains while maintaining flow paths, and replacement of water mains where necessary. Restoration involves the use of light stone fill, gabion baskets, native soil, and bio stabilization.

The Work shall be substantially completed on or before August 30, 2024, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions on or September 30, 2024.

Bidding Documents may be examined in Owner’s office. Bidding Documents may be obtained through email free of charge by emailing Jolie Murray.

Plans and Specifications are explanatory of each other, but should any discrepancy appear, or misunderstanding arise, the explanation of the MVWA Principal Engineer shall be final and binding.

Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed Bid Form and accompanied by Bid security as prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders.

The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the additional bond(s) and insurance prescribed in the Bidding Documents.

In order to perform public work, the Successful Bidder and Subcontractors prior to contract award shall hold or obtain such licenses as required by State Statutes, and federal and local Laws and Regulations.

Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that have been barred from competing on public works under General Municipal Law 5A 103 b.

Packages containing bids must be sealed, marked, and addressed to the Mohawk Valley Water Authority, Engineering Department, Attention: Jolie Murray, 1 Kennedy Plaza, 3rd Floor, City Hall, Utica, New York 13502. Packages containing bids that are delivered by courier (i.e., FedEx, UPS, etc.) must be delivered to the Water Authority’s Engineering Department, 3rd Floor Office.

A prebid conference will be held at 10:00 am local time on Tuesday 12th, September 2023 at the office of the MVWA at 1 Kennedy Plaza, Utica, New York.
