Sealed Bids subject to the conditions contained herein will be received by the Mohawk Valley Water Authority (MVWA), Engineering Department, up until and no later than 11:00 A.M. local time on, Thursday, April 20, 2023 and then publicly opened and read in the Board’s conference room for the following, as described in the specifications: 2023 ASPHALT PAVEMENT REPAIRS.

The scope of work includes the repair of asphaltic concrete pavement cuts made on various streets, roads, and highways within the areas served by the Mohawk Valley Water Authority due to repair of water mains and related appurtenances, both inside and outside the City of Utica boundary.

Bidding documents may be obtained at the MVWA Engineering Department. Bidding documents can be picked up at the MVWA or emailed free of charge by contacting Jolie Murray at (315) 792-0320 or by email. Bidding documents required to be mailed through the postal system will be required to submit a non-refundable fee of $10.00

Proposals shall be submitted only on the forms contained herein and shall include a five percent (5%) bid security in a form described and shall be received only from persons who obtain Bid Documents from the MVWA and are duly registered on the list of bidders.

The Board reserves the right to waive any informality and reject any and all bids. The MVWA may reject any bid if in its judgment the resources, financial standing, or experience of the bidder justifies such rejection in view of the work to be performed.

Packages containing bids must be sealed, marked, and addressed to the Mohawk Valley Water Authority, Engineering Department, Attention: Christopher Carmody, 1 Kennedy Plaza, 3rd Floor, City Hall, Utica, New York 13502. Packages containing bids that are delivered by courier (i.e., FedEx, UPS, etc.) must be delivered to the Water Authority’s Engineering Department, 3rd Floor Office. The Board reserves the right to revise or amend the bidding documents prior to the date set for opening the bids.
