Sealed Bids for construction of the Hinckley Water Treatment Plant Improvements will be received by the Mohawk Valley Water Authority
at 1 Kennedy Plaza, 3rd Floor, Utica, NY 13502 until 11:00 a.m. local time on November 18, 2021, and at that place
and time will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The project includes the conversion of the existing chlorine disinfection system from gaseous chlorine to liquid sodium hypochlorite,
and installation of a temporary liquid sodium hypochlorite disinfection system to be operated during construction. All work will occur
at the Hinckley Water Treatment Plant located in Prospect, NY.
Bids are requested for the following:
- Contract No. 1 – General
- Contract No.2 – Electrical
Information and Bidding Documents for the Project can be requested from Jolie Murray.
Bidders must register with Jolie Murray as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source
other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding
Documents will be e-mailed to plan holders registered with Jolie Murray. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for
Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than Jolie Murray. Bidders shall review and acknowledge
all addenda on the Bid Form.
A pre-bid conference for the project will be held on November 3, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. at the Hinckley Water Treatment Plant, 917 Trenton
Falls/Prospect Road, Prospect, NY 13435. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required. All current New York State
and CDC precautions will be required of all pre-bid participants. Only one representative from each prospective Bidder will be permitted
to attend the pre-bid conference.
