Executive Director’s Report:

Old Business:

An area in Whitesboro and Whitestown was identified in 2003 as being one that lacked sufficient static pressure in its upper elevations.  Pressure along Holiday Drive was as low as 28 psi.  The solution would be to establish a new service zone.  In 2002 a 12 inch water main was installed westerly on Westmoreland Road from Kurt’s Court by the Town of Whitestown.  The MVWA provided funds to construct a pressure regulating station to provide improved water pressures and fire protection to the area.  The MVWA is planning to activate this new pressure regulator during the spring of 2009.  The customer is required to install a pressure reducing valve (PRV) in their home on the water service line after the water meter.  The cost for this project will be approximately $35,000 and funds are available by delaying a previously planned improvement in Utica by one construction season.

Motion made by Mr. Coyne to adjourn the meeting.  Seconded by: Mr. Ryan.   Motion Carried.  The meeting was adjourned at 5:38 PM.

Respectfully submitted,
